Church Birthing Matrix
The following approach for ministry is still under
development for us as a subset of CB Matrix. I have
done something similar along side of two previous
church plants in other cities, so it is not a new concept
for us, and others are using similar approaches
elsewhere with success. We believe that we have
learned from our own past and from what others are
doing right now. When the Lord deems it fit we hope to
be able to do this well. Below is a summary of the
direction we are going in, for right now we call it
“Families In Recovery” (FIR).
Community Development Approach To Birthing Churches in Certain Areas
|
There are many scriptures that justify this approach to
ministry, but I like Titus 3:14 for right now:
“Our people must also learn to engage in good
deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will
not be unfruitful.” (NASB)
 | | Families In Recovery
|
Families In Recovery is to be an “Assets Based Community Development | | Charitable Corporation” designed to operate as chapters in a variety of different communities in different states.
It is designed to approach communities from a needs base and by addressing those needs, to earn an audience for the Gospel. Christian groups and Bible studies that occur as a result of this approach will be the early formation groups of a church plant, or church plants, in that community. The local church is God's basic design for making disciples and development of individuals into a resource for good in that community. Any church formed this way will incorporate separately so that the community development chapter of FIR can continue its good work.
