1. Church Birthing Matrix (CB Matrix) is a ministry of Missions Door | | that is tasked with birthing Anglo and Latino churches in the US, in suburban and rural contexts.
2. The multiple cities of Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Seattle, and Chicago, are preparing to have small cohorts of lay leaders who will be training together in preparation for Church Birthing Ministries.
3. Simultaneous classes for training are made possible by inexpensive and relatively simple current technology using the best trainers in each location.
4. Bilingual training is essential for this church birthing preparation, even though the Latino men being recruited will, of necessity, be somewhat bilingual themselves. Fully understanding how to “rightly divide the Word of Truth” will require some level of explanation in the language of their hearts. All training materials will be in both languages, and many presenters will be bilingual…and, at each location where a cohort meets, there will be a Spanish speaking trainer/ mentor.
5. By lay leaders we mean that CB Matrix is targeting, for this training, men and women who are probably not living in a context from which they are able to return to school. They are individuals who have shown distinct aptitude and desire to serve the Lord full time, possibly in Church Birthing. They may already be a part of a church being birthed. They may even be potentially right for becoming the leader of the church that they are a part of.
6. Prepared individuals will have completed three years of training described below. The training is designed specifically to create a fast track to bring people to ministry readiness for church birthing either as the solo leader or as a full member of a Church Birthing Team. Because of CB Matrix's local field design we expect that individuals who complete preparation will begin serving under direct mentorship once course training is completed.
 | | Proposed Simulcast Venues:
|
1. Locations of Colorado Front Range, Utah's Wasatch Front, |
| | Chandler, AZ, Seattle WA, and Chicago Ill, have been chosen for the first full year because some level of ground operations already exists on those fields of CB Matrix. It is certainly the desire to have other cohorts in other cities. It is also feasible that individuals who live remote from any cohort city can participate on their own computers.
2. Venue dynamics will be kept simple with minimal overhead. Free, or near free locations will be sought probably in underutilized church facilities. Each location will need High speed internet, one or two connected computers, a big screen TV or projection device, and a set of speakers for appropriate sound amplification. Each venue that has someone who is a presenter will also need an upgraded microphone and camera.
3. Time zones will cause some difficulty, but nothing that cannot be surmounted.
 | | Proposed Three Year Training Design:
|
1. Bible training simulcast one night a week for three hours.
2. Practicum occurs during every week, but the actual simulcast group |
| | will take place monthly for a full Saturday morning for review, and explanation, and next month's expectations. (The first of these for the first full year will need to be Marriage and family.)
3. Ministry preparation single subject modules of ten hours will be held on weekends six weeks apart, beginning on a Friday evening and going through Saturday evening. The local cohort in each venue will be joined in these modules by church participants from local churches that will be invited to send their leaders for the subject that the church desires help and training in.
4. Once a year a church birthing boot camp will be held for all comers. Key individuals, from the cohorts, that show special aptitude for church birthing, will be specifically invited to be a part of the boot camp, but it will not be a mandatory part of the curriculum. Other potential individuals for church birthing will also attend, having been invited from other sources.
Proposed Curriculum for all three years of the above is already somewhat laid out for its church birthing merits but is naturally still subject to modification. For further information please request a curriculum summary.
